Fantasy Giro d'Italia

FANTASY GIRO SCORING SYSTEM

The Velogames Fantasy Giro d'Italia runs a detailed scoring system, designed to fairly rate each rider's achievments over the 3-week event.

Points are scored at the end of each day and also for the final overall positions in the main rider classification at the end of the 3 weeks.

SCORES FOR THE TEAM TIME TRIAL
The Giro 2008 starts with a Team Time Trial. Points are awarded to all team members in the Top 6 teams, based on the following table. Riders do not have to finish alongside their leading team members to receive points. However, they do have to finish the stage as a classified finisher.
No other points are awarded for Stage One. Therefore, no points are awarded for the Pink Jersey Standings.
